Pavlova

4-6 egg whites
1 – 1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp vinegar
Whipping cream
Fruit
  1. Beat egg whites until stiff (don’t scrimp on beating)
  2. Add vinegar, sugar, and vanilla and continue beating until shiny
  3. A pizza pan is a good baking sheet
  4. Cover with brown paper
  5. Pile on meringue
  6. Smooth and flatten
  7. Bake at 300 for 10 minutes
  8. Bake at 275 for 50 minutes
  9. When cool, peel off brown paper
  10. Cover with whipped cream and strawberries (mandarin, oranges, etc.)
